Confirmation Class Dates and Info 2023/2024:
This annual sacramental program is for HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS (or Seniors who have not been Confirmed) to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Spring of each year. Current Juniors will begin their preparation this Fall.
REQUIREMENTS:
– Must be a Junior/Senior in High School
– Must have received the Sacraments of Baptism & First Holy Communion
– Confirmation Registration Form
– Copy of Baptismal Certificate
– Sponsor Form
– 10 Hours of Service to parish or community
– Cannot miss more than 1 class
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
All candidates for Confirmation will choose a sponsor to journey with them in the Catholic faith. A sponsor is a person in your child’s life who understands and lives the teachings of our faith and can guide and mentor the candidate throughout his or her lifetime.
The Archdiocesan requirements for a sponsor are the following:
– At least 16 years of age
– Has received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation
– Is an active, practicing Catholic who attends Sunday Mass on a weekly basis
– If married, he or she was married in the Catholic Church
– Is not the parent of the candidate
– Understands and accepts the responsibility of being a sponsor.
CLASS DATES:
STARTING OCTOBER 4th, Fr. Vrazel will teach Confirmation class from 7:00-8:00PM on the following Wednesdays in the Sisters of Mercy Building.
